The Satellite High School Instrumental Music Program is one of the finest in the country as demonstrated through our designation as a State Music Demonstration School and our numerous invited performances throughout the United States. The ensembles have performed to rave reviews by adjudicators and clinicians alike for their approach to performance standards, quality and beauty of sound, comprehensive teaching, eclectic programming and superb music making beyond that of the typical, standard high school.

    The Wind Ensemble is one of the premier wind bands in the Southeast United States, having been honored two years in a row as National Winners in the National Wind Band Honors Project. Satellite High School was the only Florida school recognized in the 2008 competition and it is the second year the band has received the honor. Seventy-five of the finest bands in the nation entered the competition. The Satellite Wind Ensemble is the only band "East of the Mississippi" to receive this honor!
