| MARCHING BAND The uniform of the Satellite High School Band colorfully represents the school. The uniform is fitted during band camp before school begins. A uniform cleaning fee must be paid before the uniform will be issued. Deposits or payments for the uniform cleaning fee will not be refunded for any reason if a student drops out of band. If the student damages or loses any portion of the uniform, the pieces will be replaced at the student’s expense. Students should wear shorts and t-shirt UNDER their uniform.
MARCHING BAND COSTUME SHOW ATTIRE If you are a band member wearing a costume these are the uniform guidelines. If you are a band member wearing the traditional marching uniform, please see guidelines below.
Boys in costume should be wearing: 1. No Show black socks 2. White "muscle t-shirts" (something that doesn't show under their costume shirt)
3. Shorts 4. Marching shoes 5. Long hair needs to be up
Girls in costume should be wearing:
1. No Show black socks 2. T-shirt and shorts under costume
3. Black marching shoes 4. Hair should be in a neat (tidy) bun on the top (not back) of your head. If your hair is too short to be in a bun on top of the head, you should French braid or French twist it so it is tight against your head. NO PONYTAILS!
Note: Costumes will be laundered weekly by SIMPPA and should not be taken home. It should be expected that costumes will evolve over the marching season. Questions regarding the marching band costumes should be directed to Mrs. Nelson.
MARCHING BAND TRADITIONAL BAND UNIFORM ATTIRE Uniform Materials
1. Solid black string-up uniform shoes. These are ordered during band camp. 2. A pair of solid black marching gloves, clean with no tears or stains. 3. One pair of PLAIN black socks. 4. One solid white T-shirt 5. Uniform pants 6. Uniform top with baldric (sash across the front of the top of the uniform) 7. Hat and plume (with plastic bag kept in the hat in case of rain)
8. Sweatguard At the conclusion of the performance, place pants in barrels and listen for instructions concerning jackets. Hats are to be returned to their original, numbered hat box. All plumes are to be returned to band chaperones at the conclusion of a performance.

Tuxedo Jacket
Bow tie, cummerbund, and Tuxedo Jacket are picked up and turned in at each concert - shirt and slacks are worn home to be laundered.
Girls
Black Dress Pearl necklace
Girls wear shorts and shirt to the band room and will change into their dress. Dress remains at school to be laundered.

Uniform Materials
1. Solid black CLOSED TOE dress shoes (no sneakers, flip-flops or sandals) 2. PLAIN black socks or hose. 3. Black tuxedo shirt – available for purchase from SIMPPA
4. Black Slacks
JAZZ BAND Uniform Materials
1. Solid black CLOSED TOE dress shoes (no sneakers, flip-flops or sandals) 2. Females in seated Saxophone position must wear slacks.
3. Students wear personal formal clothing that meets school board approved dress code (no spaghetti straps, strapless, etc.)
