| | | | | Are you familiar with the Gold Box? The Gold Box is a bronze-ish metal box with a slot in the top inside the main band room that hangs on the wall outside the instrument locker room. This is used for fundraising forms and payments, as well as payments for clothing, uniforms, fees for trips, etc. Students and parents can place items in the box. We ask that you please enclose materials in an envelope and identify your materials by student name. |
| SIMPPA is the Satellite Instrumental Music Program Parents Association. Volunteers in the parents association are an integral part of the success of the program from assistance with raising money to chaperoning students to games and festivals, to coordinating concerts, special events, band camp and social events. A board manages the organization and parents are invited to attend monthly meetings that cover all the business of the Instrumental Music Program.
Chaperones, Volunteers and Donations SIMPPA organizes the many fundraisers, activities and events for everything related to the Instrumental Music Program. This demands fingerprinted chaperones, volunteers and in-kind donations from parents and our community. Click here to learn more about being a chaperone, to volunteer or sign up for specific donations.
SIMPPA Apparel It is not required, but having parents wear SIMPPA branded parent shirts helps adults and students easily identify chaperones. Shirts are on sale each year during first semester. You can order by filling out an order form and placing your payment in the Gold Box in the band room.
Satellite Trucking Crew Those parents who have engineering and building skills, strong muscles and a fun spirit are needed for the Satellite Trucking Crew! These parents help with the design and construction of props, as well as transport and set up of props and instruments at the games, competitions and concerts. If you can lend a hand for this special need in the organization, let us know.
Carpools & Special Needs Does your student need assistance getting to Satellite or to events and concerts? Let us know. We'll help connect you to others that can help.
