The Scorpionettes are the Satellite High school Color Guard. As a part of the Marching Band they participate in the half-time show during football games. They have a superior rating in the Florida Bandmasters Association as a color guard.
During the winter guard season, the team competes in the Florida Federation of Color Guard (www.ffcc.org) class A circuit as well as the Winter Guard International (www.wgi.org) Power Regionals.
The team has taken home 3rd place and 2nd place trophies and made finals in a power regional. The team participates each year in the FFCC championships.
The Scorpionettes are a strong guard who proudly represent Satellite.
TRYOUTS
Tryouts for the Scorpionette Color Guard are each April. All who are interested are welcome to attend. Please wear clothes you are able to work out in. Tryouts for the 2009/2010 year have already passed. Contact us for information about next year here.
